  MILITARY AFFILIATE PROGRAM
The First Tee offers military families the opportunity to participate in the programs of The First Tee of Detroit at no cost.  Click on "Learn More" to learn about this program.
PLAYer / Par / Birdie Written Tests
Please click on Learn More to find your written test. If you're unsure of which level you are, please just look at the cover of your "Yardage Book" that you received on the first day of class.
  2010 NEW PARTICIPANTS & PAR LEVEL GOLFERS
If you are NEW to The First Tee program you will begin at the PLAYer level. If you are a RETURNING participant in the Par Level, you will continue in the PAR program. If you certified last year you will receive an email stating your level for the 2010 season. Children must be 7 or older to participate in the PLAYer/Par program. If you're not sure of your level or have any questions, please call our offices at (248)-545-4929.
 
  BIRDIE AND EAGLE LEVEL GOLFERS
If you are certified at the Birdie or Eagle level please consult the Birdie and Eagle schedule. You will be notified about your 2010 level by email. If you have any questions please call our offices at (248)-545-4929.
 
  ADAPTIVE GOLF
If your child has a disability and you'd like them to participate in The First Tee of Detroit, please click on the "learn more" link.

Thanks in part to a generous contribution from Wright & Filippis the cost of our 2010 Adaptive Program will only be $10.

  TINY TOTS PROGRAM
Do you have a 4, 5 or 6 year old that would enjoy learning golf? Then the Tiny Tots class is for you!

 
USED CLUB PROGRAM
If you do NOT have golf equipment you will need to participate in The First Tee of Detroit's used club program. If you do not have equipment, on the application, click that you do not have equipment and a used, cut-down set will be available on the first day of class. You will need to pay $20 on the first day via check or cash. At the end of the season, if you choose not to keep the clubs at the end of the year, you can return them to The First Tee of Detroit for a $15 refund.
 
The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
The First Tee Coach

The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification.
Assistant Coach Training
The First Tee Assistant Coach Training for individuals who want to be more involved with the ongoing coaching and mentoring of The First Tee participants at the Chapter level but may not be able to spend the time required to become recognized as a The First Tee Coach.
